  本书是教育部“高等教育面向21世纪教学和课程体系改革计划”的研究成果,是面向下1世纪课程教材和普通高等教育“九五”国家级重点教材,符合原国家教委颁布的工科本科《高等数学课程教学基本要求》。本书对传统高等学数教材的体系作了较大”对原有的体系作了较大调整,使概念之间的内在联系要清晰;注意运用现代数学的语言和符号,增设展示现代数学内容的“窗口”;在介绍实数系的基础上,加强了极限论;运用向量和矩阵工具表述有关内容;加强数学建模训练,注重实际应用和创新能力的培养;习题分A、B两类,A类为使读者搞清概念、熟练掌握课文内容的习题;B类则为拓宽课文内容,并有一定难度且富有新意的习题,并附有提示和答案。  本书上册包括函数与极限、一元函数微积分学和向量代数与空间解析几何;下册包括多元函数微积分学、无穷级数和常微分方程,本书可作为普通高等院校工科本科教材,也可供理科各专业选用及社会读者阅读。
